History
Sarah Ekvall has been navigating the world of behavioral health credentialing since 2009. Self-taught and dedicated, she has successfully credentialed all types of providers in the behavioral health field. Sarah got her start in a small Connecticut nonprofit Youth and Family Services Agency. The agency held behavioral health sessions for those in the community that needed it. Seeing the passion and duty of the providers, Sarah was inspired to help behind the scenes.
When a provider is classified as "in-network", an insurance member benefits greatly. The availability of services is increased and a provider is able to reach a larger audience through referrals. It was this level of thinking that created Palmetto Credentialing. Sarah wanted to help independent and small office providers who may not have the time to navigate insurance on their own or the resources to hire big credentialing firms. She wanted to make these services obtainable and realistic to the everyday behavioral health provider.
